I am interested in developing multimodal imaging techniques and integrating them into computational models of cancer development and progression. One of my focuses is improving quantitative imaging of the abdomen through development and optimization of MRI methods for motion reduction. Of particular interest is exploring the association between diabetes and many abdominal cancers, and modeling the interaction between these diseases. I am also interested in performing data mining of electronic health records and building predictive models of cancer using bioinformatics approaches.

Quantitative MRI of the pancreas demonstrates that apparent diffusion coefficient measurements (top), magnetization transfer ratio (middle), and transverse relaxation time (T2) can be measured in the pancreas using motion reduction techniques to account for respiratory motion.
