Chengyue Wu
Chengyue Wu joined the Center for Computational Oncology in the fall of 2016. She is currently a PhD student in Biomedical Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin. Chengyue completed her undergraduate study at University of Science and Technology of China, School of Gifted Young, and received her bachelors in Biosciences/Biophysics, which provided her a solid background knowledge on physics, mathematics and life sciences and introduced her to the world of medical imaging.
Chengyue’s research focuses on developing and validating advancing medical imaging, image analysis or modeling techniques to quantify blood perfusion and kinetics of tumors. She is interested in the vascular characteristics determining nutrient supply, waste clearage as well as drug delivery in solid tumors, and is particularly encouraged to explore novel computational-experimental approaches to measure and model these so that they can help to improve cancer diagnosis and prognosis.
Chengyue also has many hobbies such as painting, visiting museums, traveling with friends, and watching anime.
