Dr. Angela Jarrett
Thanks to the ICES Peter O’Donnell, Jr. Postdoctoral Fellowship, Dr. Jarrett came to the institute in the summer of 2016 and has been working in Dr. Thomas Yankeelov's Oncological Modeling Group. She received bachelor's and master's degrees in Mathematics at Florida State University, and Dr. Jarrett completed her Ph.D. specializing in Biomedical Mathematics in 2016 at FSU.
Her research focuses on developing a tumor growth model for breast cancer. The primary goal is to build a model that can capture the tumor response to neoadjuvant chemotherapy using patient specific DW-MRI and DCE-MRI data. Additionally, she is helping to develop a mathematical model for the interactions of different tumor characteristics and immune response within anti-Her2 treated tumors for a pre-clinical mouse model.
Angela enjoys hiking and exploring Texas's great outdoors with her husband and their dog Joules.
